Anwendung
Gallium ist ein seltenes Metall, das hauptsächlich in der Halbleiterindustrie verwendet wird. In der Natur kommt es meistens nur in Verbindung mit anderen Metallen vor. Seine Existenz wurde erstmals 1871 von Dmitri Mendelejev anhand des von ihm entwickelten Periodensystems der Elemente vorhergesagt. In seinen chemischen Eigenschaften ähnelt es Aluminium sehr. Durch seinen niedrigen Schnmelzpunkt wird es jedoch bereits bei Hautkontakt flüssig.
